“You can feel emotion dripping from every beat, not just every word, right off the bat but even that wasn’t what caught me. What caught me here are the dynamics. The song starts off almost like a hurried whisper but quickly turns into an explosion of emotion and grit before falling back into something a bit more anthemic and soaring. I feel like A Quiet Collapse goes through these motions over and over again throughout this three minute and sixteen song but is constantly changing up how these motions hit you. Sometimes the tender moments choke you up but others give you a feeling of enthusiastic triumph. Some of the grittier parts will make you knock over your desk and participate in a one-person mosh pit whereas at other times that grit will give you the motivation to put your head down and conquer that pile of work sitting in front of you.”
“It doesn't take much to say that Quiet Collapse is a project of influences coming from emo music - because its name already delivers it.
But we can say that such elements are mixed very creatively in your music.
Especially when we mention his debut "Fait Accompli" - highlight of last Sunday, May 5.
The track combines elements of pop punk with post-hardcore and extremely dramatic vocals, which exacerbate emotions and create a certain link of connection with the listener.”
"Fait Accompli" presents to the public the first movement of A Quiet Collapse. The debut single already carries that typical pop punk energy, but with an emotional layer that pulls it to the territory of emo rock.
Here, the sound doesn't run loose. The construction escapes the obvious. Guitars not only sound bright, they also carry emotion, being complemented equally by bass and drums. In turn, the vocal complements the arrangement in an exceptional way, going beyond a memorable delivery.
In the end, "Fait Accompli" doesn't sound like a generic premiere. Sounds like a starting point for something bigger.”
